PA Senate Races, 2010

So, here they are. The Democratic challengers to incumbent Republican State Senators. What do you know about them? Which are socially progressive and fiscally responsible? Which should PA members of Democracy for America be supporting? Please leave a Comment with your thoughts. Please also indicate if you live in the district.

Note that the Republicans hold a ten seat majority in the fifty seat state senate. In order to flip control of that body, Democrats need to win six of the seven contested races and hold all their current seats.

As a Bible Believing Born

Submitted by Jael: Warrior for God (not verified) on Sat, 03/13/2010 - 8:31pm.

As a Bible Believing Born Again Christian Pro-Life democrat, I fully support Bryan Allen for Senate. He will stand up to corruption, evil, and sin that Tominlinson has refused to do so since being in office. As Bensalem Council member, he (Allen) stood up to JoeyD, and his cronies, and he will do the same in Harrisburg.

As a resident of the 10th PA

Submitted by Paul Roden (not verified) on Thu, 04/08/2010 - 2:26pm.

As a resident of the 10th PA Senatorial District, Cynthia M Philo, is the best candidate that the Democrats have had in a long time. She has been active in the Newtown Borough and Newtown Townships in fighting for reform, transparency and accountability in government. For the first time in history, partly through her efforts the Democrats now hold a majority in the Borough of Newtown. But change and reform is slow, especially when you have "DINO's" in office. Cynthia won the unanimous endorsement of the District 31 Democrats at the February Bucks County Democratic Party Endorsement Meeting and the rest of the Democratic Party County organization as well. But the Republicans are rich, organized, disciplined and GOTV. Turnout is critical in November if she has any chance of winning. There is a strong anti-incumbent mood in the electorate, regardless of party. People won't even sign nomination petitions for our Congressman Patrick Murphy or for our State Representative Steve Santarsiero. From what I have seen and heard about her, she deserves our endorsement.

Bryan Allen is a hack.

Submitted by Crucifixio D'Arcangello (not verified) on Sun, 08/22/2010 - 10:33am.

Bryan Allen is a hack. Untarnished? Not by a long shot. He's just as dirty as the people in Harrisburg he claims he wants to oust! We saw right through his charade and voted him out after just one term. He's a PARTY hack! Plain and simple!
